Hello!!!!! another good week that was really full of lots of haha exciting stuff. To answer some questions from Mom, I am feeling good, really loving it here and haveing a blast! I had a really neat expirience today in the temple and that has boosted me for the morning haha.
So short after last weeks email I got to teach an investigator lesson with Elder Roberts (cousin from Vegas, going to Honduras next week) and it was super awesome!!! I have gotten to know him a lot better that ever before, it has been a really cool expirience.
So on the 26th Elder Gessell and I were walking back to our room for something and we hear "BOOM" haha jokingly I said that "somebody just died" haha then i realized that it sounded a lot like a shot-gun. Looking out the window to see what it was.....A truck had flipped onto it´s side then BOOM it exploded! So crazy!!! thank goodness nobody died but one thing was rather disappointing. It was full of....dirt. How lame! haha we realized that had it been full of anything else it would have been a lot better hahahaha.
Last night, we were chilling in our room listening to a Holland talk, thanks to elder hancock´s speaker and ipod thing. and all of the sudden....bang, bang, bang, bang over and over. there was gun shots ringing out for a while but it was a ways away. we dont know what happened but it was interesting to listen to hahaha.
So there is a family that sets up shop down stairs on our p-days and they have some pretty sweet stuff! like jearseys and ties and bags and really cool stuff, then we go to this other store that is a actuall store and it is so lame! it has like bedding, car parts, and pots and pans, and that is the only place besides the distribution center that we are allowed to shop at.
One of the meals this week they loaded up the drink station with Orchada i think thats how you spell it... haha idk. I wanted to share that because it was soooooo freakin good!!!!!!
I want to thank you dad real quick. Because you have truly set an amazing example for me be going on a mission and staying faithful in the church. I dont know where i would be without the gospel and im glad that i dont have to know. Today at the temple I heard your voice and I could feel you there with me. I felt that you were proud of me and I Just wanted to let you know that I keep thinking about the pictures and that video of you on your mission and I hope and pray that I will be as good as a missionary that you were and are today.
Elder Gessell and I are getting along really well and doing great in our lessons and stuff. Our teaching has changed a lot but it has grown to become a really good way of finding the need of the investigator. Apperently our last "investigator" Bryan got hit by a super nice sports car, lost his legs and died... hahaha Our teacher drew us a picture it was awesome. So now we have two more, Gabriella (our morning teacher) and Fernando (our afternoon teacher) And we have had one lesson with fernando and we teach Gabriella tomorrow morning. I love getting to teach because during those lessons, even though they are practice I can still feel the spirit guide my words and my thoughts and help me teach.
One big thing that I have really been focusing on is my faith. "Faith is opening your mouth, then having it filled by the lord." Thats been my focus point. opening my mouth first so that I can truly teach by the spirit. I love you all! thanks for the emails and updates. Keep me posted!
